Low population density areas seem to be doing well right now due to people's preference on "secludedness" and the ability to work remotely.

If they want it FAST, you should look into short term rental. It might look unpredictable at the first glance, but once you learn more about that industry, you will be able to find a way to make good returns (above 20% net rental yield - would be really high cash on cash return if you buy with mortgage) while minimising risks.

Although it isn't physical goods, automated messaging is what I really loved. It just saves tons of time, makes me behave more professional with guests (by sending a set of instruction on time). There are some vendors as cheap as less than $10/month.

In case you might have missed it, make sure note down on the pricing and other Airbnb listings details of your current house listing by Vacasa - they will be useful for you to set up new listings.

Haven't heard of them. If what you need is being surrounded by people who are doing successful short term rentals,

I'd start by joining various short-term rental communities first. They are most active on Facebook groups. Type "Airbnb host" and you will see a bunch.

In short-term rental, Airbnb has the biggest share, that's why I recommend joining such groups.

What type of data are you looking to get? Are you planning to do long-term or short-term rentals?

This is a quite quiet forum!

Guests are more concerning about healthy safety during this time. Research shows that Airbnb listings allowing self-check-in are actually getting higher review score as you can see below.

Should I buy a keypad and change it to self-check-in? or not?

What I've observed by analyzing 5 million short-term rental booking data from December 2019 to May 2020 is that people are more likely to travel domestically than internationally - which sounds obvious. Here, I wrote an article about analyzing this pattern in depth.
