I'm afraid I can't really help you out with any information, but I understand completely what you want to do. There are several neighborhoods in Oklahoma City that I've been wanting to adopt for years. I'll certainly be rooting for you. Just do it!

As @Rhett Tullissaid, it is not anyone's group. There are no fees besides the cost of your own lunch. No one is selling anything and I think most of us would be pretty hostile to that sort of thing. Everyone is welcome!

Hi, Paul, I have this meeting on my calendar, now, but I'm confused about where I can find out about the venue? Do you mean on the Network tab here on BP or on the Meetup website? I don't find an "Oklahoma City" group on the Network tab here? Have I just not done enough snooping around the site?

The monthly meetings and Paul's group are great places to meet people. There is another one called millionaire possibilities. You can find it on meetup.com. Still a little sales-y but informative and a good place to meet people.

I found that if you do some e-networking through BP here, you can find folks that are always open to meet up over coffee/beer or answer questions via BP. If you are looking for education and discussion minus that sales pitch, start reaching out to people.
