I attended the Mom's House event a few days ago. The general just is network with people in the senior care industry who have a financial interest in filling the rooms. The idea being if mom needs to sell her junky house to a cash buyer in order pay for the care facility plus doesn't have to deal with repairs then hopefully your senior health care network contacts will remember you when they run across this which is supposedly often. In my opinion It's worth the $1K to attend the weekend, then you decide if you want to drop another $30k for the inner circle. Personally, I didn't, but it's not totally outside the realm of possibilities..

Phillip Vincent presented at our REIA tonight. My understand basically is that you network/market to the folks that are selling senior care living facility beds with the idea that most seniors need to sell their house that they have owned for decades and is probably full of junk in order to afford the living facility. Stands to reason their motivation to sell with minimal hassle is high at that point in time. And you are providing a needed service. It sounded like a solid idea to me so I signed up for an upcoming three day event. We will see how it plays out.

I signed up for November, but as it turns out we've had something come up and I'm not going to be able to make it... The plans were to attend in person as opposed to virtual. I reached out to them and they said no problem and that when thing settle down just let them know and I can attend an event next year. Definitely let me know what you think about the event!!

Has anyone tried marketing on your website as well as direct mail that you are a cash buyer plus a real estate agent? The idea being that you provide options. This is basically what Mark Spain does. If so, what were the results?

Who has tried using a website as well as direct mail that advertises as an investor/agent? The general idea would be to let the seller know you offer either scenario. I believe this is basically what Mark Spain does. What was the good, bad and ugly?

Proverbs 22:7 says the borrower is slave to the lender. It don't get no plainer than that.. Pay off the house then get a HELOC set up to use on future investments!

Adam, I got my RE license back in 09' when I started flipping houses. I figured why give up an extra 3% when I can push the paper myself.. Plus, I've had several buyers come to me after me listing the property on the MLS without an agent so we were able to do the deal directly between buyer and seller with out a agent in the way. That is a win win in my book. Per the forum rules I don't believe I can call out a company name that does flat fee listing but google is your friend in this case. They are easy to find.
