I'm new to real estate but I'd put it in Indianapolis or Kansas.

Thank you everybody for your input. I'm absolutely going to be cautious but what seems to good to be true in California might just be standard where I'm looking.

Thanks again for everybody's time helping me.

I'm very new to BP and real estate in general and I'm finding it very nice but odd to me that I'm getting contacted by so many nice people offering advice. I appreciate all of it knowing how valuable people's time is but at the same time there seems to always be an agenda. I have no problem with that but I'm leery.

Has anyone here ever bought from someone on BP? If this happens all the time I'm sure there are horror stories but is it generally a nice transaction with everybody staying friends?

What are peoples thoughts???

@Michele Stone and @Brandon Turner Do either of you know of an outline of questions to ask a real estate agent when interviewing them?

Hi All,

I just had the most negative conversation with one of the dads at my kids school. He is a real estate investor and had nothing good to say about management companies and buying out of town.

Are management companies really THAT bad?

Hi @Ali Boone, Thanks for responding. I'm usually up in Mar Vista once a week or every other week.

What areas do you like with higher cash flow? I'm not set on Dallas, I'm set on trying to get the most bang for my buck.

Thanks!

@Mike D'Arrigo I'm really not sure besides the fact that I'd like to supplement my income in the long run and be able to prepare for retirement. By any chance can you recommend any articles about how to choose objectives? I don't actually know where to even star besides the basics.
