Welcome @Alex Poh!  You have some really awesome goals there. I'm actually looking to house hack myself. I am meeting with my mortgage broker next week to get pre-approved. My goal is to be closed on my first investment by the end of this year. I also really admire your goal to help your father retire. 

I am a real estate attorney in Queens. If you ever need any help or advice I would be happy to lend a hand. My mortgage broker is also an incredible asset. He doesn't charge any points and he is an avid investor himself. So he's familiar with both lending and investing.

Glad to have you on board! I'm in the same boat as you, as well as so many others. I'm an attorney and looking to create passive income. It didn't take me too long to realize that having only one stream of income was not gonna work living in New York. It's great to hear that you found something worth while.

Welcome to BP @Benjamin Bratton!!  I'm also pretty new to the community. I had the same reaction you did. I couldn't believe how much great stuff is here! 

I work in a real estate law office. I don't have my office computer in front of me at the moment, but the software we use is called Hotdocs.  It has all the legal forms you could ever need, including real estate contracts. 

In my situation i need the income to have the loan approved.
