Hi Jason,

I live on Long Island now and I'm also looking to purchase my first rental property. I've been researching the market here pretty extensively over the last 6 months or so. For my personally, I'm going for a two family located in west Suffolk County.

Hi @Boris Alayev!

Welcome to the BP community. I'm new here myself.

I think you and I are in a similar boat. I'm a new investor and I've recently made the decision to find the right partner. I could match your 20K investment and I'm a real estate attorney.

We should link up!

@John Franco

Hi John. Do you have a link or a name for the meetup?

I've been trying to answer that question myself for the last few months haha. I'm a real estate attorney and from what I've seen from my perspective, it's still a seller's market. Single family residential homes/apartments are still going extremely fast.

Hi David. I'm a new investor in Long Island but I work in Queens.

I'm a real estate attorney and new investor. I would love to connect with members around my area.

Hi Alina,

Thank you for the kind words and advice. And yes, I want to invest locally. Preferably Nassau County.

As of right now, I've never thought about exactly how much time I want to devote. So far I've just been spending time going to open houses, meeting with a few brokers, and attending networking events. I could devote 10 to 15 hours per week. I wouldn't want to spend more than 20 hours.

Welcome Stanly!  I live in Nassau County New York. Glad to see you come around. Do you live in New York or New Jersey?

Hey everyone! My name's Jerry Quintiliano. I'm so happy to be introducing myself to the Bigger Pockets community. I'm a real estate attorney in New York. My office is in Queens County.

Ever since high school I've set a goal to become financially free. It wasn't until law school that I first heard the phrase "financial freedom," but the concept had always stuck with me. I believe real estate is my best vehicle to having the life I want.

Right now I'm searching for my first multifamily home. I look forward to the hunt every day and I can't wait to add my FIRST investment deal to my Bigger Pockets profile.

Hears to all the entrepreneurs and the journeys ahead!
