Hard wired may be required - see pages 4 & 5 of the below document from FEMA: The United States Fire Administration - State-by-State Residential Smoke Alarm Requirements

Illegal to post on any public property, right-of-way, utility pols, etc. Some cities will charge you a removal fee.

I would tender to my insurance company and them handle everything. They will sort it out and no headaches for you.

And the tenant walks out at the end of the forbearance sticking you with all the back rent they will never pay...

As @Mike Cumbie mentioned, MLS apparently has rules on watermarking. So, MLS needs to be part of the solution by allowing watermarks and embedded disclosures.

Does anybody know anyone that handles corporate rentals in the Ventura/Oxnard, CA area?

@Nathan Gesner

No one is asking for a handout and no one I know invented in property with the idea of a government handout, and I don't want one. But when you have the government telling me I can't collect rent and other Government officials are pushing for 'rent forgiveness' we are screwed. I still have mortgage payments, taxes, insurance, maintenance, etc. Landlords can not hold out forever and many do not have the cash reserves to keep going much longer.

I don't expect to see rent from some tenants for 6-9 months, if ever. After the rest restrictions are lifted, and they can not pay, evictions will take 3-6 months if we can even evict them. I do not see any positive cash flow for the next 12-18 months.

There is not an eviction moratorium in Colorado, yet

@Anthony R. cited the applicable laws. Just  follow the law and you should be OK

@Kathy Johnson - Hayfork? Small world. I have extended relatives that lives there (The parents of my sons ex wife which is the same as my grandsons grandparents.) My parents live in Redding

I agree with @Howard Herrington. There are plenty of good applicants where you don't have to risk it.
