Hi All,

It's another month and time for another real estate meetup! These meetups have had 15-40 BP and Meetup.com members chatting about investing in the San Jose area and also out of state. Bay Area and out of state investor @Jay Y. initially suggested this meetup and I have been keeping it going ever since. Regular experienced investors such as @J Martin from Oakland and @Minh Le in San Jose have been regularly attending. We welcome anyone who would like to attend!

When: Thursday, May 7th, 2015, 7:00pm

Where: Whispers Cafe and Creperie (Outside Patio)

(The cafe is in the same complex as City Sports and in the same building as Five Guys on the opposite side of the building.)

Unfortunately this lending program ended last October. I used it three times on investment properties for 10% down.

Welcome to BP Joel! The site is a great place to pick up information and the pod casts are awesome for those long drives.

I just had a San Jose meetup last week and if you sign up for the meetup group, you get notified on the next meetup. We have some notable names such as @Account Closed@J. Martinthat come out regularly. If you can make it to SF tonight, J has a meetup with 60+ people in attendance! 

Some good comments from the posters above. Paragon RE has the best RE analysis for San Francisco I've seen but they won't make a call on the direction of the market. 

Venture capital burn rates are at a all time high with lofty valuations for these new start ups. Dot com bust 2.0 will slow the real estate market in the bay area if it happens.

Redfin shows the majority of homes in Santa Clara and along the peninsula as Hot. Inventory is low with great demand from buyers and it doesn't appear inventory problems will dissipate for this year. A interest rate increase may slow things just a bit but I just don't see many headwinds for the near future.

@Brian Flack @Anshu Sanghi - I am really glad that you enjoyed your first time at the meetup. My only regrets at these meetups is that I can't make it around to everyone! It's always a blessing when experienced investors come and share their wisdom with us like @Account Closed @Sandeep S. @David C. @J. Martin.
