I took the plunge on my first rental in the Smokies. I live 1000 miles away. No matter where you plan to buy, seek out experience and build your team. Join local FB groups on the area that you choose. You will gain so much knowledge and advice from the locals. 

I am interested in exploring purchasing a motel in the smoky mountains and wanted to make some other connections down there who have experience in doing this. I currently own a STR in Sevierville but want to expand in other areas. Thanks!

I purchased a 2bd 2ba in Sevierville about 3 miles from Dollywood. I paid 425k in October 2021 and I still had to put about 50k in updates and furnishings to get it listed. Not sure what you will find for 200k unless its a condo.

I'm looking to sell a single family in the smokies and wanting to do a 1031 exchange into a larger multi family. I'm wondering if this is even possible and if so can anyone give me insight if they have done this? Thanks
