:protest: I think you got that backward's, When assigning your contract to your buyer you usually ask for your assignment fee or a deposit in return for the equitable interest of your property. So i think what your asking is when you sign the "Purchase Agreement" is it necessary to offer earnest money. Now, No it's not necessary to offer earnest money but if you really want them to take you serious you should. Also make sure you don't hand it to the seller try opening a third party escrow account and deposit the money in there. Goodluck.. :D :superman:

Does anyone have an "affidavit of equitable interest" form? If so can you please email me a copy. Thank's and Happy Investing..
