Hello BP,

So at the moment I have a small amount saved up for the first investment, which is only about $5k. what are some of my options to increase this in addition to saving from my full time job? should i try to over leverage this? Try and get in on a syndication? Partner with other investors? Continue saving? The end goal is have several multifamily units down the road.

@Michael Lee thank you for taking the time to be as thorough as you were there was lots of great advice in there, I found the speaker that you were talking about and I agree with what he has to say much as you do. I see a tremendous value in multi family units and I believe that I will be leaning in that direction when I make my first move. I am actually very interested in learning more about your experience in construction perhaps you wouldn't mind sharing some of your experiences? I have read about the BRRRR strategy and that sounds simple enough to use KISS. I look forward to learning and growing a REI business.

Thanks everyone for being active on my thread! It really has made me feel very welcome to BP right away! What I am looking for in RE is having a steady cashflow down the road meaning that if I can work a few properties for some gained equity till I can afford something that has a worthy cashflow I would be thrilled; the ultimate goal (as is with most everyone) is financial freedom. I am cautious with the flipping business on the short run but definitely want to realize the 1031 advantage. I don't know enough about wholesaling, @Jon Sanborn @Jordan Archer to have an opinion on it, if you could teach me more I would really appreciate some guidance. @Carolyn Mitchell I welcome all the help I can get and would be very interested in hearing what you have to say.

Thanks so much @Carolyn Mitchell for reaching out! I am at a point where I am not sure which direction to go first, perhaps you have some input. I have a small amount saved away and want to get that first property. I am not sure what goes first. Should go to the bank first for a loan or find a property broker to look at properties, or network to find investors, or create an LLC first? do you have a recommendation for the order that things should happen?

Hello all,

I am a new investor in the greater Philadelphia area! I have been doing my homework and educating myself about real estate investing for the last few months and I am ready to start building a team and expand my network. I joined DIG last month and looking forward to meetings to come. I am hoping to connect with experienced investors so I can expand my network and learn more about investing in real estate. I would love to get to know the other local Philadelphia investors and real estate professionals! Don't hesitate to reach out to me!
