Hello BP family,
I am a new RE investor in NYC. I was wondering if there's any Meet Up group for investors in NYC to casually network.
I know REIA is a place that investors join with a fee, but I was wondering if there's just a meet up group in NYC to casually get to know real estate investors (new or experienced)!
Please let me know if you have a great suggestion!
Thank you for your time :)

Hello BP members,
I am planning to invest in Multi Family House in NYC. My plan is to live in one unit and do short term rentals for the other unit on Airbnb.
As I was researching, I came across a short term rental regulation that owners cannot install bedroom locks in the building. I was surprised to find this regulation since many guests will feel unsafe to rent a private room if there’s no door lock and anyone in the house can access the bedroom.
How do short term rental airbnb hosts in NYC go around this regulation? Or are most airbnb hosts just ignoring this? Is this regulation considered a frequent violation by the hosts?
Thank you for reading! :)

@Account Closed, Hey Erik. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. I’m bit relieved to see there’s someone like myself in bigger pockets community! Everyone seems so expert here on the platform! I’ll definitely look into Sussex and Warren counties as you advised! Septic and well water too! Thanks so much :)
