@Sam Hurdley Hi Sam ! I'm a kiwi too great to be connected on here!!! I'm excited to watch your journey because I invest in the states but would one day like to buy something bak home in NZ but housing prices are crazy I have noticed! I think currently there are no capital gains tax so that makes flipping ideal until they bring that law in ( I know they are trying). What areas are you thinking to invest?

@Prashant Sheth I did exactly that for a deal! I get those checks in the mail non stop and they are great! 0% interest for 12 months with a small one time fee and you can use the checks like cash ! Good to have those around for lot's reasons.

@Elle Bindra I spend a lot of time online - MLS notifications set up by my broker, Zillow and realtor.com and have notifications set up to notified when new properties are listed .

@Daniel Mendez totally understand where you are coming from . I was living in Manhattan NYC when I decided to start investing and trust me if I had fear of competition I wouldn’t have left my apartment ! Instead I embraced it and it drove me to push harder to make it happen . I invest out of state which is something you could consider if your local market doesn’t match your investing criteria . There will always more deals ! Plenty to go around :) good luck !

@Leah StueverIts so interesting how rules vary so wildly between states, it's a good lesson actually for me, to make sure I see what financing restrictions I will run into !
