If you think the home is worth $90,000 or so, you could connect with a wholesaler in Lansing and try to get a quick sale that way.  If you need the name of someone, let me know.

HI Alex,  I go to the meetup in Ann Arbor on Tuesdays, and sometimes there are investors there from Lansing.  I also know a wholesaler who works in the Lansing area, but I'm not sure if he's on BP.  I'll PM you his name.

Best wishes,

Keri (investing in Ypsilanti, Taylor, and beyond)

HI Jeremy,  Are you looking to invest locally, or remotely?  I am starting to pursue small multifamilies (duplex, triplex) in Dearborn, MI and would be open to discussing what I'm finding.

Best wishes,

Keri

I can recommend @Joshua B. as a real estate attorney!

I'd love to see a wider variety of guests on the show (i.e. people from a minority culture, people who are investing as a parent/child team, people who are renting specifically to refugees, people investing in Detroit and loving it).  Nevertheless, I'm eager to hear what comes out of this!  I love a good success story.

Similar to others, I would buy a duplex or triplex and live in one unit, start young(er), probably choose a higher paying job (I started as a school teacher: noble but small $).  I'm also sharing what I'm learning with my kids, so they have the benefit of time and environment.

Hello and welcome, Francisca!  BP is awesome with all its forums, podcasts, and webinars.  I also encourage you to network face to face at a local Real Estate Investment Club.  Feel free to reach out if you want to chat.

Sarah!  Hello and welcome.  In addition to all the good stuff on BP, I encourage you to network face to face at a local Real Estate Investment Club.  There are good ones in the metro Detroit area!

Hi Fady, I'd like to expand my portfolio to include duplexes in Dearborn. Ideally I'd like to rent to refugees. Keep me in mind if you see a good deal there. Congrats!
