Hi, @Joseph Davis…we work in Columbus with buy & hold investors but @David Panzera of our office might be able to direct you to someone in Lancaster, if you want to PM him here. He's been doing this for a long time and might have a contact.

Also, you might want to post this on the local Columbus, Ohio forum page, because more people will see it. Let me know if you need help getting there, and good luck!

Welcome, @Chad B.! I felt the same when I stumbled upon BP, and it's always fun to suggest it to investors I meet in person when they haven't found it yet, either. Let us know if we can help! Good luck.

Hi, @Ryan Mainwaring! We never suggest those areas to our investor clients for the reasons the posters above have stated. And we're not convinced that Franklinton is going to be all that some claim it's going to be in the future.

Hi, @Melissa Gittens…I help our broker, David Panzera, refer professionals to our investor clients and we do refer out his eviction attorney when the issue arises, as he's been working with him for years and knows his stuff. Your post intrigued me because I used to practice law and so am familiar with referrals from both ends. My two cents is that if you had a good experience with any professional by all means pass on their name (it's buyer beware -- people asking for referrals should know that it can go either way in starting a relationship with a referred professional), unless you know of something that's causing the professional's work product to slide. But of course that's your prerogative. It could have been a personality difference, you know?

Personally, it always make me feel more credible as a professional to be able to refer people to someone who always does a great job, but I wouldn't blink at stopping if I've heard they are disappointing people -- I feel like that reflects on my own good judgment. In looking for an eviction attorney I would look for someone who has experience in eviction court and knows how the judges in your area deal with both standard and funky cases. As for an attorney for closings, not sure why you would need that, but if you're looking for them, some title companies are actually run by attorneys who specialize in real estate and that might help you feel more comfortable. Hope this helps a tad. Cheers!

Hi there, @Carter Cole…I was just looking through forum posts and wanted to tell you that I admire your gumption -- what a great way to get started, and I hope you'll get a good response from your note here. Just a thought: you might want to post this same note if you haven't already in the local forums specific to your area. There's probably one near Aurora. Go under "General Info" then "Local Real Estate Forums." Best of luck to you!

That's funny, @Sharon Seiter--it's a small world! Please do reach out in the future.

Yes, you need to go to the website and print out your one free meeting guest pass and I think by doing so you'll automatically register for the event. On the online registration at the very bottom is a "Print a Free Guest Pass" button. Just click there and you should be all set. The attorney panel meeting sounds like it will have some good content and it's nice that you'll be able to work it in!
