Hi all, thought I would give you all a little laugh. For the first time ever we got a negative review on a STR because the house was too clean....according to the guest. They didn't like the smell of pledge, so I guess thats a thing, but they opened every window in the house to air it out. In addition they said the kitchen floor was too clean and made it hard for their 2 year old to walk...We just chalked this one up as funny. To be fair, they gave a decent public review with a slight ding in rating..overall just something for me to share here!!

Do both. Make sure you invest enough to get employer match if you have one, put the rest in real estate.

Corrrect, November thru April would be slow for outdoor activity, another thing we are considering.

This is my biggest concern, if im 135 years old before its paid for not sure it was a smart move lol. I have no idea how to estimate the up-charge or increase in bookings it might bring in.

So this location is in Amish country and a lot of the guests are mid aged and up. We saw some of the courts being added at nearby hotels and that is what drove our consideration. The other benefit an earlier post suggested was dual use bad mitten and pickle ball, in addition I can add a basketball hoop and make a half court and cover all 3. is on the side of the house with a privacy fence middle of one acre so could be good attraction. We would add an additional outside fire pit as well in the area.

Yea, cost is one area im not sure I would recover, although doing some of it myself the cost is pretty low. Some of the noise comments are a concern as well.

So we have a STR with a large flat yard and have been considering adding a pickle ball court. Anyone have one on their property? Thoughts on if its worth the hassle?
