I have not worked with KW so I can't offer any advice from experience. But I do know that each franchise operates a little differently than the others. No broker/agent/team will build your business for you, that is all up to you. The way to go about researching these companies is looking for whether they have the tools, resources, and culture that you think your own business can thrive in.

KW was actually at the top of my list when I was interviewing potential sponsoring brokers, but after a few sit downs I realized that they weren't going to help me succeed as an investor who's main goal was to build wealth and passive income through real estate.

Hi Chase. A good way to find expired listings is to search your local MLS. Now I'm not sure if you can access that data in your particular MLS without a real estate license, if you can, that will be your main source of expired listings. There are some lead generation softwares out there that do sell lists of expired listings, but if you can access your MLS for free, it will be the best and most accurate option.

Those are both great sources for exam preparation and studying! Prepagent is one of the best free resources out there. I agree, I think you will have no problems passing your exam! Good luck!

Usually the exam would use the same wording that you have seen in your courses and various practice exams. If they are different then unfortunately you might've chose the wrong study materials. I would suggest checking out some practice test apps such as Dearborn, as those are geared towards most exams and have helped many test takers in different states succeed.

Good luck!

@Anthony Maza

There are plenty of mentorship programs out there Anthony! I was able to find mine just by asking a similar question like this one on the BP forums!

I think your approach and mindset is great! Finding a mentor who actually has a stake in your success is absolutely crucial. That’s how you know they are willing to help you!

@Luis Rivera

Working and collaborating with other investors in the area has definitely been a plus. I ventured into real estate to build wealth and passive income and I feel like the atmosphere of value and support has allowed me the right tools and mindset to do that

@Casey Conner

that will depend on your client and on the type of client you are representing. As a listing agent, it may take many months before you get your client's property sold. If you are a buyer agent, it can vary depending on the buyer criteria, the available inventory on the MLS, and on how prepared they are to buy.

Are you looking to do mostly retail or investments as well?

@Casey Conner

Knowing your goals is important in real estate. How do you envision your business in the future? Do you want to work with mainly sellers as a listing agent or represent buyers and investors?

Start letting people know that you’re getting license, that can definitely help you get some traction in the beginning, but make sure you know what your business will look like in the future so you can begin planning for that.

You should also start looking for and interviewing sponsoring brokers if you haven’t done that yet.

Good luck!

@Christian Hoffmann

It’s definitely possible! Everyone has to start somewhere right! As long as you are old enough to get your license according to your state, there’s nothing stopping you from building a successful business in real estate!

@Anastasia Polianska

You can definitely start looking for a brokerage before you pass your exam. As long as it doesn’t distract you from studying. That way once you pass your exam you’ll be ready to go!
