Good luck in your search. I would add in areas around the south minneapolis light rail system and around any of the lakes including Hiawatha and Nokomis.

@Thomas Walson Welcome to BP. Just keep meeting as many people as you can and you will be all set. Networking is everything in this game of real estate. I host a couple meetups in town but they are on hold due to COVID unfortunately. Keep learning and you'll get there.

@Josh Hoeft Congrats on a great first deal. Keep the momentum going. I would say driving for dollars is a great way to find yourself a deal or network with wholesalers and realtors who have off market deal flow.

@Meredith Mihm Hey! I have been researching vacation rentals quite a bit as I am purchasing a home in Two Harbors, MN to use as a vacation rental. I think it can be really profitable with the right team and plan in place. Let's connect sometime if you want to chat more.

@Pascal Cohen Pascal, Welcome to the BP community and congrats on taking the step into REI. Remain a student forever and you will do great. Network with as many people as possible. I used to live in NYC so I understand your position a lot.
Pick a market you have some familiarity with already if you can. Maybe you lived in that market prior, or your family or friend is from there, or maybe you travel there a lot for work. That will make it a lot easier to start.
Other than that, I would use an analytical based approach and use population growth and job growth stats. I live in Minneapolis now and love the market. Also, open to connecting!
