We are expanding from just doing our south Minneapolis meetup at Venn Brewing and are doing more meetings around the twin cities.
If this sounds interesting to you please come down to UTEPILS BREWING and talk real estate. Open to anyone from newbies to experienced investors and everyone in between. Agents are welcome but this is primarily for people currently investing or looking for their first investment whether that investment is local or out of state.
6:00 PM start time and we will shut down around 9:00pm
Thanks!! Looking forward to sharing ideas and building our networks.

This event is for anyone with an interest in real estate investing. For experienced investors to newbies, this meetup is a casual and open environment for people to educate, learn, and meet interesting people. This is open networking and there no speaker. It is crucial to have a wide network in the real estate investing world and it is directly correlated to the level of success you achieve. I learn so much from every person I meet and look forward to learning more.
Come down for a Beer or Kombucha!

Welcome to BP! Congrats on completed your first flip and good luck on the sale. I like the idea of refinancing and keeping it as a rental if you can cash flow or if you sell I would buy a value add small multlifamily to start. 2-6 units or so.
I would say networking is one of the best things you can do in real estate and it will make you more successful. Get the momentum started now. I am an investor in Minneapolis and I also invest in Iowa and Nebraska. I am a realtor in MN as well. What are your goals long term? Define those and then work backwards to set up a plan to get there.

Welcome to BP! Networking and always being a student are keys to success if you ask me. Good luck out there. I have helped some clients look in St Cloud and it could be a very intriguing market but you really need to know the neighborhoods.

@Manuel Alexander I have done a couple BRRRR properties but mostly buy and hold rentals. I have also done a couple flips at the very beginning. Depends on the deal really and that helps guide the strategy.

Hi @Sevy Bialke
A book a week and 25 BP podcasts?! You'll be killing it in no time! One of the biggest keys to success is always being a student and never giving up on the art of learning. Also, persistence is key!
Managing a property manager is an art form and a crucial art to learn if you plan on growing your business to say 100 units. It is possible to find a good firm and manage them in a way that allows you to save time and energy. If your plan is to have 10 units I would say you could do this on your own. If it is indeed 50-100 I would suggest getting started with a property manager sooner than later. You don't want to have to make the decision once you're burnt out and overwhelmed.
I would say defining your goals is a crucial step that will guide a lot of your strategy. Good luck on your efforts and congrats on deciding to go for real estate. Focus on building a great team around you and network like crazy. If you ever have any questions or want to bounce ideas please reach out.
Best,
Kurt
