This meetup is for anyone interested in networking with other Multifamily/Apartment Real Estate Investors. The format will be an open round table discussion where each person will be able to ask/answer the following questions to the group. The goal is to add value to each and every person and to help with any needs/issues they may be having in Real Estate at the current moment. -GOALS - What are you doing right now that will move you forward in the next 30 days? -RECOGNITION - Describe what you accomplished personally, or in your business, this week. -NEEDS/WANTS - Ask for anything you need. For example, "I need to find a good CPA or Property Management Company" or "I am looking for a deal with this criteria" -OPPORTUNITIES - If you have a deal or an opportunity for the group you can let everyone know about it and see if anyone would be interested in hearing more or even partnering with you on the deal. This group is specific to Multifamily investing and those who want to connect with other like-minded individuals in this space! This meetup will be hosted every 1st Wednesday of the month (with some exceptions that will be noted) at the TGI Fridays located at 12721 Towne Center Drive, Cerritos, CA 90703.

HI @Jamie Garcia. My fiance and I took his online course and then did one on one coaching for a few months earlier this year. I thought his online course was great and it really helped us get on the right track and educate ourselves. For the price I would suggest it all day long. The biggest thing with any of these courses though, is if you are not going to take action on what you learn then any course is a waste of money. If you plan on taking action I would suggest taking his course! Good luck and let me know how you like it if you end up going with it!

@David Katz that is all preference in my opinion and goes along with your risk tolerance. You could keep it in a money market account so it is a least earning "decent" interest but I would not put them in an investment where you could potentially lose some or all of it. You will need to utilize that money at some point so if you plan on reinvesting it just know that you may have to come out of pocket if you lose any of it.

@David Katz For my SFR portfolio I have a separate "savings" account if you will that gets 8% of my rents for vacancy and 5% for maintenance transferred to it monthly. As mentioned in previous comments you need this cash to be liquid. As this account builds up I would suggest not having a cap on it because eventually you will have maintenance and vacancy and from my experience it will come in bunches. I act as if this account does not exist and this money is already spent, this is not part of my cash flow.

Hi @Jeremy Aldridge. I host 2 meetups and they both have a different agenda and style to them. I come from a place of adding value to each and every person who attends our meetups which is why we do not go with the typical "networking" event where you show up and talk to whoever is there. As you mentioned, as an introvert this is difficult and uncomfortable at times. So we focus on adding value and putting people in a position to communicate with one another. Here are the agendas to both of our meetups, hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions.
Out of State Apartment Investing Mastermind
6:30 - 7:00pm - Networking (food/drink orders)
7:00 - 7:15pm – Introductions/Goals Review
7:15 - 7:45pm - Workshop: Analyzing a Deal (This changes every month)
7:45 - 8:15pm - Speaker Series: Real Estate Success Stories
8:15 - 8:30pm - Goal Setting- Everyone sets one goal to accomplish before the next meetup
8:30 - 9:00pm - Questions/Networking
Cerritos Multifamily Roundtable - each person goes through all 4 listed below
-GOALS - What are you doing right now that will move you forward in the next 30 days?
-RECOGNITION - Describe what you accomplished personally, or in your business, this week.
-NEEDS/WANTS - Ask for anything you need. For example, "I need to find a good CPA or Property Management Company" or "I am looking for a deal with this criteria"
-OPPORTUNITIES - If you have a deal or an opportunity for the group you can let everyone know about it and see if anyone would be interested in hearing more or even partnering with you on the deal.

@Jeffrey Holst here are my goals for 2019! I have also found it very impactful to go back and do a year end review and reflect on your accomplishments for the year. We often forget how far we've come because we are so focused on future results.
-Purchase a business and triple it's net income
-Successfully syndicate 3 deals totaling over 400 units
-Open a Club Pilates in Southern California
-Host an REI podcast with my fiance
-Marry my fiance
Looking forward to seeing everyone else's goals for 2019!
