Hi Will, I think it is depends on your cleaning crews availability and turn around time. If you tell them please to clean the same day as the guests check out. Then I would say, same day booking is ok.

Sorry to hear that! That's the thing, whenever you use a management company to manage your rentals, whether they are long-term or short-term, the fees cut a big chunk of your profits. I would highly recommend adding a cost. I have friends who self-manage, and they do everything remotely. I think they recently had their AC and water heater changed without even being present.

I am in Oregon, I think we can only use licensed contractors here, unless it is my primary. Have you talked to your insurance company?

It's really sad to see this, I have seen a lot of folks using direct booking by using their own websites. Anybody have experience on that?

Hi Sam, I would highly recommend reach out to your county or city government to get accurate STR regulations before you list it on Airbnb & VRBO.

Following! The best rate I could get now for an investment home is 8%.

Hi Kanika,

I don't know if you have done any research on Airbnb. I just feel like there are tons of Airbnbs almost everywhere in the city and suburbs. The market is different now. My suggestion is to buy a very unique property somewhere so people will go to your place specifically instead of their destinations. I hope what I said makes sense.

It is so hard to find a cash flow property now, and we probably will never see that low rates again. If it still brings cash flow, you should keep it for sure!

That's very cool! Do you know the regulation for Florence? Is there any waitlists like Tillamook county?
