You're moving before I even got a chance to meet you?! Just kidding. Congratulations!!!! You'll do great! And my plan is to house hack a multifamily in DFW as well...maybe I need to scoot on over and watch that podcast! :)
I'm colleagues with Jessica Martin and Amber Koontz, both in the Houston market. Try reaching out to them to see if they may know or may know who to lead you to!

Congrats! The property looks great!
Welcome to BP! I heard Jerry Puckett is a BP member here in the Fort Worth area with wholesaling experience from what I've read! I'd also explore the Network tab and search for local members. Some of their titles may reveal that they are solely a wholesaler versus a real estate investor. Best wishes on your success!

So I'm guessing that I'd have to put something like $50,000 down for that. That might take me 3 to 5 years to save. So I got the property, and I'm cash flowing a few hundred dollars a month. That's it?!? All that hard work for a few hundred dollars of "free" money?
How do people make millions of dollars in passive income? Either they have to come from a family with money to bring big down payments to the table, or they have to save and save and live like a hobo for 30 years to build up enough cash flow.
Convince me otherwise. I probably sound really stupid to a lot of you, but this is the beginner's forum, after all.
Here's an article I just ran across - http://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2015/06/30...
Hope this helps!

You'll love Tulsa! I lived there most of my life and have only been here in Texas 3 years. Midtown is awesome. They're trying to do a big push for development in Downtown Tulsa so it may be a great place to buy up property for future. It's not the best living as of now. I also drove through the Brady Heights District. Big houses and a historic neighborhood they're trying to revamp. All the places above are ALWAYS great. Here's just a few other places to look into...Best wishes on your success!

I don't use the 50% rule towards my vacation rental, but I'm new to all this so I wouldn't know. I'd explore the new Vacation Rental Forum to check out some of their numbers!

Welcome to BP Alex! There are several DFW investors here on BP. I currently attend a REIA event in Addison each month as a vendor (for Auction.com), but am considering becoming a member closer to Arlingotn. I also explored Meetup.com and they look to have a few meetings in Arlington that I'm thinking of attending and becoming a member of. I'll def let ya know how they go!
I own a condo in North Arlington that I vacation rent on Airbnb and Flipkey, but I'm currently looking for full duplex in Arlington - a side to live in and a side to rent. Curious to know how you got your half duplex.
Check out the Ultimate Beginner's Guide under Learn > Free How-To-Guides > Ultimate Beginner's Guide. I'd also explore the Network tab! There's also a weekly webinar that's been pretty spectacular. Sign up at biggerpockets.com/webinars.
Do you hope to become a landlord? Flipper? Let me know if there's anything I can help out with! I'm new as well, but can at least point you in the right direction!
