That's some great info @Anthony Aguillard! I'll be sure to hop on Meetup and check out some local clubs! I've actually worked at one of Dennis' events for work as a vendor so it'd be great to check him out. I'm just remembering that name. Thanks again!

I have been reading on-and-off posts and listening to Brandon's webinar recently to get me motivated and actually get into real estate/rental properties (Great work Brandon!). I am in Carrollton and looking for rental SFH in or around Carrollton area.
Few friends I spoke to say that right now is not a good time to get into real estate but educate yourself and then be ready when market get better for investing (stating prices have gone up and hardly any deals out there). I would be interested to hear what some if the members from DF/W area think. I look forward to hearing from and finding my first deal to get started.
Thank you,
Imran
@Imran Ukani (I'm not to clear on how to use the @Name function quite yet...) Welcome! I just joined a few days ago. I've heard the same in general and that can be said of really any market. Personally, I think there are always good deals out there, perhaps limited, but there will always be opportunities. I too haven't purchased my first investment yet, but rent out my condo as a vacation rental. I'll keep my eyes peeled. Just wanted to wish you well out in Carrollton!

Been thinking about a vacation rental myself - it's something I've thought about for years. My son is about to enter Texas A&M in the fall, so I had intended to buy a house down there and have it available as a vacation rental, but have been so swamped remodeling homes for other people I don't have time to work on my own...hopefully, I'll still get that done soon.
Welcome!
WOW! Congrats on your success. Hope to get there one day! That sounds like a great idea. I love the idea of earning income while still living in my home so it works well for me and it sounds like your son being in college using the home secondarily as a vacation home makes perfect sense! Thanks @Michael!

Oooohh that's exciting @Karen! I'll definitely be on the lookout for that. What I've been reading says the same!
