I am a newbie looking to get a HELOC through a local bank in Charlotte, NC that is willing to work with investors. Unfortunately, all the local real estate meetups have been cancelled due to the pandemic so I thought I would try on BP. have reached out to the major banks and a couple credit unions so far. Any suggestions?

Hi, I know this thread is old but I was wondering if BP still has the meetups at Dilworth Neighborhood Grille? If so, how do I get information about it?

Thank you so much!

I recently sold a rental property that I had only because we lived in the house and couldn’t sell it, it finally sold. However, I would like to start investing in real estate in the hopes to have a passive income in the future. I have no clue what type of real estate investing to get started with. Can you guys recommend any good books for self education or what is the best type to get started with? Thanks!
