Everywhere outside of CA has a sweet spot lol. But yeah im licensed in MN and the market is great over there the homes are appreciating and there is a lot of demand and hopefully in the future I can tap into that market. But maybe just for the summertime @Adam Tafel lol.

Yeah I like doing things more on the risky side. But I agree with you I think getting into the market for the first time, going somewhere familiar is the way to go. After being a little more experienced then going off to venture somewhere else.

Thanks so much I been hearing great things about IN. This article helped a lot

Hello BP,

I think I have some capital to work with, to either put 10-25% down on a home. Im also a loan officer working for a lender here in CA where I would get my financing through. The problem I am running into I don't know where to start, I'm thinking of investing somewhere outside of CA because it so expensive here. At the same I have no clue how other markets are doing. I also feel a desire to invest in Auburn Alabama as my girlfriend is from there and they invest in that market. Any markets you guys would recommend that would be a good place to start?

Currently work for LoanDepot, just became a licensed lending officer, and ready to dump all the money I make into some sort of real estate investing. What are some great ways to get started and get my feet in the pool?

Wow I am overwhelmed with the responses did not expect everybody be so willing to respond and eager to help and share your knowledge so easily. Funny that you guys mentioned IN my co-worker that god me interested into real estate investing is currently in his property escrow in IN.

My goal would be to get into rentals, I am hoping to buy my first property sometime this year and get my foot in the door. While also maintaining the income that I currently have.

Hello, I am a new member to this website and real estate in General. I'm located in Orange county CA, and looking to buy a rental property somewhere out of state. I have about 20k I could invest and wondering if I should do a traditional mortgage or could I do BRRR with that low of start up money. Any advice on locations that would fit my budget? Excited to connect with everybody here!
