@Tim Asher Yeah Im not in a position to invest in any college towns at the moment. I was just wondering if anyone does this, since it crossed my mind many times (as a tenant).

Im all too aware of the "Big Players" in Iowa City. Was a victim of them a few times. I was very happy when I heard someone was finally doing something about these companies ripping college kids off.

I would be very interested to hear from someone who owns/rents property to students in the DePaul area. Lincoln Park is not your average "college town".

Hello!

I was just wondering if anyone targets college towns to invest in? I went to school at the University of Iowa (Go Hawkeyes!) and it seemed like there was a lot of opportunity. The rental scene was out of control, you were fighting people to sign a decent place to live. A landlord/investor's dream! Once I get a little better versed in the world of investing this is a market I am going to revisit.

I went to school at the University of Iowa and from living there I can tell you theres a TON of opportunity. It might be worth your time to check out Iowa City. Apart from being awesome I think there is real potential. I wonder if anyone on here focuses on college towns? I don't have any experience but they seem like gold mines. Good luck!
