Hey @Nik Patel Welcome to BP! You've come to the right place. Tons of knowledge here and tons of very helpful people. What kind of investing are you looking to get into?

@Bill Luzzo Yeah it can be pretty confusing at times. There are so many different aspects to real estate. Thats why I would suggest you try and find a mentor or coach to help when things get confusing. Im currently looking for one myself. That would be my first action if I were you. As you search you'll see some of the other things like networking come naturally as part of that process.
Im not sure if you're totally sold on the apartment rentals but I got a good tip from a guy this weekend who started back in '84. He was explaining to me that his first purchase was a 7-unit apartment building and that it was awesome and hectic at the same time. He explained there were many unforeseen costs and problems, especially as a new investor. There wasn't enough money to rehab all the units at once so he had to do them one at a time. It was a struggle. I asked if maybe instead of the 7-unit if he could have bought a 3-unit would things have gone smoother? He just looked at me, nodded his head and smiled. It was one of many lessons he said he learned. He said he kept the property for over 30 years so it worked out but it could have been easier. His advice to me was to be confident and eager but also weary. Biting off more than you can chew can wreck you, especially as a novice.
Sorry that was kinda long but hopefully it was somewhat helpful.

Like Jose mentioned be careful whenever anyone is pitching anything to you. I actually plan on going to the very REIA you're talking about in the near future. So I can let you know what its all about if you don't get there before me. Also I did a tiny bit of research and it looks like the "insider circle" is actually just a collection of lists they compile for you. Theres a pre-foreclosure list, auction list, probate list and shadow inventory list. They compile them for you once a month for $79 according to their site. Hope that helps for now.

Hi @Rocky DelMundo and welcome to BP! Congrats on your first investment! Seems like a lot of people go the "house hacking" route to get started. You have the right mindset with networking, I would also suggest you take advantage of all the free info on here. Good luck out there!
