Enough with the government tinkering with the economy.

A drop of 50 basis points is not going to do very much. Just got to let the deadwood burn off.

There was a really quick comment made about commercial tanking during 60 Minutes this evening. Comment was made during a segment on the coming second wave of mortgage defaults.

Would not surprise me. Just about every industry is in a state of regression. I don't see commercial real estate escaping this fact.

In our market the SFR sweet spot is the 3/1 around the 1100 sq. ft. mark. An old school investor taught me that more toliets and more square feet means more dollars spent on upkeep.

We give NO gifts to any tenants, with the exception of one tenant and her sister in one of our Chicago properties. And. the only reason for that tenant is to show our gratitude for their incredible patience from day one as we troubleshooted their unit, which had gremlins all over the place.

On the hand, we reward our team and contractors with gifts and a year-end dinner. We probably spend more than we should, but they are the ones that helped us build our company and they continue to foster it's growth. No thank you for them, is to much.

My slogan would be...

"The candidate that actually earned a living before running for office"

I am a political junkie and have thought about serving my country by going into politics. However, I have a real bad habit of saying what is on my mind without running it through a verbal filter. I don't think I could go very far telling the truth all the time.

To quote from Tony Montana from Scarface, "In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women."
