Great catch @Randy Johnston on the August meetup date. I went to the one before the last two days earlier for the same reason-- not fun. 

I'll try to see if the date of the event, as it shows up at the top of the page, can be updated not to read 8/1/2017.

Hi @Tiffany T. , welcome to BP! AFAIK, we have Northwest REIA (Northwest Real Estate Investors Association) and RareBird Investor Network meetings regularly in Portland Metro area. Also, check out BP Meetup on August 1st. Nearby meetings include the ones from Oregon Real Estate Investors Association. Last, but not the least BP's own directory of events will have other future happenings you might want to keep an eye on. Enjoy!

Hello, BiggerPockets Nation. I finally have gotten to my delayed introduction post to graduate from lurking. I am a part-time investor with limited but joyful experiences with REI so far. While last couple of years of Portland Metro area market have been quite inefficient for me REI-wise, I continue to learn and am getting ready for the next cycle. BP has been invaluable, and would like to take the opportunity to sincerely thank all those who have contributed to the site in an entirely altruistic act.
