Hey @David Cunha , did were you able to find an answer to this? I'm in the same situation (currently have an FHA, but looking to assuming another).

Thanks!

@Caroline Gerardo Is a buyer able to obtain a second mortgage to make up the difference in equity? Or is cash required to make up the difference?

Hey @Russell Brazil. This is in Carroll County. I havent advertised it (yet). I went through the process with them a couple times earlier this year and never had to list it. I would called the HSP office, provide all the property info, and they sent prospective tenants to me.

Now, whenever I follow up and ask why nobodys calling, they state that there are no voucher holders looking for properties.

@James Wise @Austin Steed

Thanks guys. The properties are located in Maryland. Just got off the phone with a manager. Supposedly, its due to them being 4 bedroom units. She explained that they rarely issue 4 bedroom vouchers. I agreed to come down to the same price as 3 bedrooms.

Still, it didnt sound too promising. She advised that she will keep my number and call if anything pops up.

Anybody noticing a lack of section 8 applicants? We've had two properties listed with our counties housing program for months now, however they advised that they have no voucher holders looking for placement. Weird, because I know the waiting list to obtain a voucher is years.

Just wondering if anybody else experienced this?

Got it. Thanks @Darnell Lockett. I just wasnt sure if those same FHA guidelines apply for an assumption as well.

@Alex Fenske Do you know if you can assume an FHA loan and owner occupy, if you already have an FHA?

Got it, thanks @Wayne Brooks

I'll stick with pursing VA loans then.
