Post: Renegotiate buying price after corona-virus

Has anyone renegotiated the purchase price of a property (being bought through a whole-seller)?

The deal was entered before the COVID-19 situation, but considering the sudden change of market conditions, it now seems like there is good reason to believe that the house prices will go down, see a few articles:
article 1

article 2

article 3

Does anyone have any insights about going about renegotiating the purchase price a few days before closing?

Thanks.

Hi @Luke Johnson, I was wondering about this too. Did you move forward?

The language doesn not sound like its from a person who is in a place of gratitude where he/she wants to "give back, and to bless a family or individual that needs it". Please be careful with this one.

Again, I might be reading between words, so you might want to read this with a pinch of salt.

All the best in your journey @Ethan Gallo !

I am sure you already have checked this article out ealier https://www.biggerpockets.com/blog/brrrr-buyrehabrentrefinancerepeatprimer/. The part I found also quite useful were the comments and discussions at the end.

I would really reconsider paying up 15k especially if it adversely affected my ability to borrow money for a while.

However, getting 3 houses under contract in 2 months is absolutely fantastic. I would be very interested to know how your friend achieved this?

(Now, in case you are somehow affiliated to the mentorship program then, my friend, you are a smart advertiser. I hope that is not true though.)

We've had a mailbox stolen. But, then again, it's not the same.

 Thanks for the reply @Patrick. Can a CSST flex gas be sandwiched between 2 black iron pipes (i.e. is this possible: Meter| yellowPipe | transition| elbow | blackMetalPipe | elbow | blackMetalPipe | flexFitting | flexLine | flexFitting | blackMetalPipe | Tee | ... | appliances ) ?

Don't why I thought that flex gas can only go at terminal ends of the lines.

Hey folks! So we had a gas inspection and got a red tag. :|

The inspector said no unions and bushings should be there in the attic; I agree.

Any suggestions on the best way to quickly fix this issue and route a nipple from a 90 degree elbow (on the right) to a T-junction (on the left) but without a union/reducer?

One end of the T goes to a stove and the other end splits into a boiler and HVAC.

Cheers!!

Mil

For future reference for anyone, here's the city code chapter. Page 11 is the relevant section.
