Good morning,

I look forward to see you this evening.

I'm not sure everyone is up to speed on the "price brackets to invest in" so we'll spend a little time on those brackets in Danvers tonight and if you've got a "farm area" you're investing in, we can analyze that also.

Movers ands Shakers this week Friday, August 4, 2017 7-8:30pm at Kelly’s Roast Beef, 165 Endicott Street, Danvers MA 01923 no charge to members. Only $5. For guests (tip for our waitstaff.) Light refreshments included! Market update, Round Robin and Haves and Wants.

@Eric Stafford If you're a Broker (vs Salesperson) you've got more options and don't necessarily need a franchise.

I've been impressed with KW, you can usually pick up their red and blue books to get a feel for them. KW offices I've been to have a lot of support and a fast track if you want it.

However I've heard about some franchise offices that have a skunk at the top that has you door knocking, working low end rentals and expireds, then keeps most of the commission!

Commercial Real Estate is ok but deals which are usually bigger take much longer and can come apart right near the end. You seem to have a good buddy ready to help you, Good Luck, Mike

@Jonathan Ramos I thought you seemed familiar!

Steve is right, there are parts that you wouldn't want to collect cash rent after dark... It's a big city with a lot of housing stock, I was considering it, except for the distance. I'd start spending time there and look at the franchise businesses:

e.g. Check cashing and Chinese takeout only, might mean .....?

Starbucks and Trader Joes could mean .....?

@Thomas Hickey Starbucks;-)

When we were in Austin a couple of weeks ago, I believe the markets that foreshadowed progre$$ were MT SuperMarket and Trader Joes.

@Jonathan Ramos Welcome.

1. North Shore.

2. Yes.

3. Finance same as North Shore.

I like to emulate success (your North Shore 3 family) and avoid/get out of less productive (SF Southern NH) deals.

@Eric Stafford Welcome.

"I don't see myself doing this full time as I am the breadwinner at home and the full time job" That's a lot of pressure, maybe your spouse could start with something part time and look at picking up some of the insurance...

This is the way many of us started: Full time job and part time in Real Estate.

Doesn't your Broker franchise have some support to get you up to speed?
