@Len Roche,

Thanks Len, I heard someone mention rentometer.com once on a podcast and was just trying to find out what others are using.

Thanks again.

What are the best websites/software out there to find out what houses will rent for when running our numbers?

@James Stewart,

I am in the same boat as you are. Getting ready to roll my old employers 401K over to a solo 401K out of Fidelity over to Wells Fargo because I have been banking with them for years and I don't want to use any of my funds for stocks or bonds any longer and strictly use my funds for RE.

Any goods deals in Vegas under $100K or does the flipping Las Vegas guy on TV have them all locked up? :-)

Do any of you have your Cali RE license and a non-resident license in Indiana for investing there?

@Christopher Phillips,

Great thanks. Now I will try and find someone here on BP in Cali that's an agent that invests in NWI and see how they are doing it long distance.

@Christopher Phillips,

Thanks and do you have to go through the whole testing process again in the other state?

@James Allen,

Hi James, I just posted this same question and then saw your post. I live in San Diego and was thinking about getting my license but because of high prices I am not going to invest in Cali but rather NW Indiana where I am originally from. I figure if anything I can learn the ropes from getting licensed here. We are going to retire probably to Colorado in another 4-5 years anyway.

@Christopher Phillips,

What do you mean by applying for a non-resident license and what does that entail?

@Malgorzata Sadowska,

I live in California but going to start investing in NW Indiana. Can you get licensed in a state that you don't reside in?

Just wondering if it worth getting my RE License where I live if I just plan to invest out of state? Other than having MLS access, would I be able to use anything else out of state?
