Quote from @Clay Boykin:

@Daniel Umstead Columbus, OH is becoming a industrial/tech hub. With that being said, both commercial and residential markets are changing daily. The ability to invest in this market is becoming easier every day. Whether its doing a midrehab and making 30k or cash flowing $200-300 a month from one SFH. Yes, in other markets it is possible but Columbus is universal. Feel free to reach out to me regarding this market. Either way, Happy Investing!

 I keep seeing more and more every day, do you know of any virtual RE meetups?  And Intel just keeps impressing, just found out about a new IPO from them coming up.

Yet another chance to be featured in the next issue of BiggerPockets Wealth Magazine!

Let us know what you think in 50 words or less: What freedom will real estate investing give you, and what do you hope to do with that freedom?

By responding here, you're allowing us to print your name and response, if chosen, in the next issue of the magazine. We're excited to hear what you have to say!

You have unlimited potential to become anything and the real estate industry amplifies just that, what will it give is not the question, but more as to what will be given to others.  I hope that the freedom one realizes with real estate investing is ensuring the success of others.

Quote from @Jonathan Styer:

Columbus continues to grow, tech keeps coming here. We have a housing shortage with the amount of people that are moving here every day. I feel that this is just a continuation of the trend we have been seeing here for the past few years. We've been seeing crazy appreciation and are one of the hottest markets in the country. Doesn't look to change anytime soon either.

 That is awesome, what do you see more as far as in the market those looking to rent or purchase?

Greetings All,

I heard on the SOU address (no politics, just making a reference) about the investment into Intel in New Albany, OH market and how the facilities will be built by 2025.  This is a combination of what I read on WSJ and research.  Making this quick as I would love to connect with others regarding the subject especially if you are in the Columbus, OH market.  Would love to chat on whichever side interested to hearing what both sides mention, also provided an article that lead me to this great insight.  Looking forward to connecting!

Best,
Daniel

@Pamela Gordon Thank you for the insight, I myself have gotten burned out on doing a couple of rental showings and have either gotten last minute cancelations or no shows. Will definitely be implementing this for my next appointment.

@Will Kenner

1000% agreed, Everybody is going to say and tell folks that yes this is the best area and have a couple of articles to back them up but until you actually have a conversation with somebody who has the boots to the ground you will never know what is currently going on. Really appreciate this advice also, as I am looking into markets as well just to get an idea outside of where I'm currently at in Philadelphia.

@Pal Sa

I would recommend to reach out to other property managers in your area as well as owners just to see what their take on in the industry is just to get a sense of idea and maybe some tips to help you along the way. I do see a few comments in here that I will be beneficial in regards to maybe you are being over priced but it really just depends upon the market. Ultimately you need to reach out and seek out those property managers and see what they're take on the market is.

Post: Big Brokerage vs. Small Brokerage

@Chandler Butler

Coming from experience, I was with the big names, KW and eXp before I found my home with a smaller brokerage, Super Realty Group. It really depends on your lifestyle as well, don't get me wrong KW and eXp offer tons of training and more than enough mentors to go around to get me in the position that I needed to but because I work a full time job it just wasn't in my cards to pursue either of those brokerages. Now that I'm with a brokerage where 80% of the agents are part time it just feels more at home and I am learning so much more and my broker is just a phone call away in case I do need anything and he himself already has 15 plus years in the industry. Above all you need to find that mentor and somebody who not so much is going to hold your hand but be there for you in case you do have a question or stuck on a deal. Good luck to you and I hope this and the other comments help you out in finding the right brokerage for you.
