Create the LLC as long as he's not likely to look up who owns it, it's public record. I am in Arkansas so if you ever need a friendly face 'on the ground' so to speak, feel free to contact me. I do intend to look into the Houston market next year so perhaps it would be a beneficial arrangement all around.

@Juan Marino, I'm in Little Rock and I can tell you that it would be worth your drive to come to our REIA meetings. They are the second Thursday of every month, this one is at the Wyndham in North Little Rock. The next two meetings will be phenomenal.

@Andrew Johnson, I am in Little Rock, Arkansas.  What areas do you buy in?  What are you looking for?

@Keisha Orr, my best advice would be to keep your eye out and actively seek out properties that are free if you move them.  You can look for vacant homes, homes with multiple lots on them, look for very distressed properties, and then look for ads that say 'free, must move'.   You will find them.  Moving and rehabbing a vacant house should often be much less expensive.  You'll still need to run your numbers but you would normally be helping at least two communities in the process.

@Mike

@Account Closed, I so far cannot get my lawyer to file for a legal separation.  She says it will slow everything down and that they take just as long as a divorce does.

@Account Closed, this has nothing to do with the death of anyone.  Yes, he is trying to stall only to injure.

@Andrew Postell, I'm not trying to hide properties.  I can still buy and sell property in the course of doing business.  I just can't get a typical bank loan due to that weird state law.

Welcome @Courtney Michael!  I am in Little Rock as well.  We should meet up at Mylo's sometime soon.  Have you ever visited our CARREIA?  It's an immense wealth of knowledge.
