For what it's worth.

I had a 140lb mastiff for years. They're huge, low energy, low risk dogs. They're just big. And they make awesome ESA / Service dogs because they are big so you can lean on them/ sturdy ect.

Hey there - not sure if you found someone. But TX doesn't have a state tax so it's especially easy to work with a tax professional from elsewhere as well. I would reach out to some of the tax pros here on BP who specailized in real estate and see if any fit your needs well.

Hey Jason Welcome- I'm not sure if you ever received some referrals.

I'd look here on BP for a tax strategist that works exclusivley with investors. Amanda Han is based in California.

For a financial advisor it can be hard to find someone who does know REI. I'd look for an advisory firm that at very least works with DST placements and other types of apssive real estate investments.

If you are looking for someone REI specialized I would recommend looking here on the BP forums for those who are tax professionals who specialize in real estate. Most work virtually with clients all across the country.

I would recommend looking through the BP forums here at the tax professionals who are regulars and provide value. Most work virtually with clients all over the country and will be specialized in real estate.

Yep I know it- I've had multiple tax clients over the years face a mean surprise with that. California is the worst with taxes. If they can tax you/bill you in some way they absolutely will.

If you are looking for someone Real Estate specialized I would recommend looking at the bigger pockets tax forums. There are several of us who've been contributing on here for ages- but you can feel out who you think you'd work well with, who matches your needs best ect.

I don't specifcally have a referral for someone physically in the Ohio market unfortunately.

If you're looking for REI specialized I would recommend looking at the BP Tax forums here on the website- almost all tax firms work remotely with clients as well. I would recommend reaching out to @Jake Hottenrott as a starting point- he's a CPA, Investor, Long time BP member.

Your basis on the property will be allocated between the 2 units and you'll be taxed based on the gain on the half that's sold.
