Why not search for real estate agents on here and message them for advice? It's easier to find out what you need to do from somebody who has done it already.

Good luck

It's true the pod casts are a great way to learn. I play them while getting on with other tasks like driving etc. It helps you to fit them in to your busy day and you will be surprised how much you learn.

I am in the British Merchant navy, you will find that your self discipline will serve you well.

I have lots of free time away,I have found that taking away podcasts e books and doing a bit of learning often is the best way forward.

By doing a little often you will quickly build a wealth of knowledge. This site is the best place to help you with that.

Welcome to the site. Get stuck into the podcasts, join in debates etc. I think you will find that your background in marketing and public relations will be very useful in growing your business

I think maybe it's better to advertise on a site that does not allow comments. I see people posting on Facebook and you always get negative comments attached.

People work hard to get rental properties but you get those who think everybody is a slum Lord. The people posting these comments tend to be the ones sat in there but to lazy to change there lives.

I did a renovation on my first rental and the tub was in a bad way. We ended up getting a re spray that came with a guarantee. It cost about $250. With a new floor down and  the shinny new bath tub it looks like the whole room has been done. Worth every penny. We did it in our second one as well.

Thanks guys, you are correct. I think the lesson showed me I need to take a step back and think about things. As I look back on the article now I can see the red flags and so it's a lesson well learned.

What concerned me was the shear volume of adds I found on the net, with the same name and contact details.
