@Amit Patel: Great story Amit. Keep up the good work!

Hi @Joshua Dorkin  & @Mindy Jensen

I love the changes!

I know you guys mentioned that you are going to revise the email template in the coming days but I thought that I can give my 2 cents from usage perspective. I am a power user of this feature and would love to see the following changes if possible. I would not mind if you guys completely ignore this or implement it partially :) but I thought that I can throw it out there. So here it goes:

I am going to break everything down based on the usecases (UC) that are common. Some of the following may have an overlap but I am separating them as each has a different workflow.

UC #1: I am following a topic but I never posted
UC #2: I am following a topic and I posted/replied
UC #3: I started a new post (so assume that I am subscribed to it unless I choose not to)
UC #4: New topic posted on a keyword or forum I am following

Before we go into above use cases, lets talk about the email preview from mobile for them (preview is what I see before I open an email). Email subject is normally good for all of them but the preview line can be improved. In some cases, it shows "Hello <my name>" but I would like to see a name of the person who posted it. You have this information available but its not the first line shown in the preview.

Email content:
In general, the subject line is being repeated in a big bold font again in the email. By the time I open the email, this information is already known. So, IMO, its not needed again. You can have it but it should not be the focus. It can be a tiny text. There are two things that matter here the most.

1) User who posted it
2) Actual topic.

Both should be a hyperlink so that I can click into them. (i know user name hyperlink is a stretch requirement but would be nice. You do have it available for UC #5).

Now actual usecases.

UC #1 & UC #2: In these UCes, you have three main hyperlinks in the email. Actual post, most recent post and turning off the notification. All three are relevant and important and work well in general. But now imagine if there is a topic that is spans across 5 to 10 pages. Last time when I opened it was only 2 pages long and I read it all. Next time when I open it, I would like to read it from where I left off. It would be nice to embed another hyperlink to open it where I last left off. I know its difficult to track this but you can potentially figure out from the last time I clicked on this post or what was the last post at that time (and tag w/ my username in the backend) or both.

Also, the name of the user & hyperlink who posted on this is missing. Having that name will help.

UC #3: This usecase is similar to #1 & #2. So, same items apply.

UC #4: Here I do see the name of the user who posted is a hyperlink. This is good.

Sorry for a long post but I hope some of this helps. Also, I haven't played around with the website yet and I may have feedback for the same :)

Thanks.

Thanks all.

@Michael Seeker: thanks for the details. Is there any specific model that you use more?

Thanks @Rahul Bura and @Pat L.. I am a fan of Bosch too but did not know if they are durable enough for rental properties. For how long you have been using them? Thanks.

Which model would you recommend for a rental unit? I want something which is stainless steel so that it matches rest of the appliances. What is most durable? Do you guys put something with a filter at the bottom or with a food disposer?

We have to order something today or tomorrow. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Property: This is a B property located in an A- neighborhood. We completely gutted the kitchen 1 year ago and same tenant has been staying for last 2 years. Rents for $3k.

Thanks,
Pancham

Now that @Jack Tucker has spoken openly about this, I would also echo his observations. There are NO PMs in Athens who agreed to do this model for me. I personally spoke to 5 of them and those 5 were a good mix. 3 were big firms and 2 were family owned. I feel that all of them felt that I have no idea what I am talking about (or they may be thinking that its impossible to do this). I got a feeling that they did not even want to discuss the model fully. All of them wanted to manage a long term rental.
