I just wanted to say aloha to the biggerpockets community. I am from the state of Hawaii but will be moving to Texas because I know there is more to invest in at Texas.
I did time in the military and know the difference between the Hawaii and Texas economy. Hawaii market is limited but very lucrative while it is easier to invest in Texas.

I observed that the current trend is B&H here in HI, but that is according to realtors. If you want to do fix and flipping, you got use methods other than realtors.

I believe what you say is true. I wouldn't consider myself a real estate investor yet, but I have rental property in Texas that I attempted to get a line of credit (LOC) on. The bank that I requested stated that I might have gotten a 3k LOC but still didn't even approve me. I The value of the property was about 130K and there is still 74K on the loan left.

Hey BP world,
I am a newbie looking to getting into flipping here in Hawaii, then doing this in Texas. Any tips of the trade are welcome!!! Hawaii market seems tight but I just started the game. I'm waiting on a bunch hate mail/calls from people that I sent marketing letters to. Hope that these letters didn't make it to anyone here in BP Hawaii!!!
