Sorry. Since your dad is purchasing the property, you guys wont need an assignment contract, just a purchase and sale agreement.

You or your dad can draw up a purchase and sale agreement, and an assignment contract with the seller. This will put the property under contract and give u and your dad a certain amount of time (30 or 60 days, maybe more) to come up with the funds to do the deal. Hope this helps. Happy investing.

Welcome sir! Fellow bronx member here! BP is amazing and a great resource. If you don't mind me asking, was the multifamily in the bronx, the first property you purchased?
