Hi @Gene Hacker

May I please ask for you to provide info for the next meetup? Or maybe a link pointing me to where I can stay updated.

Thank you very much,

Ralph

@John Warren Thank you so much for the input. As I’m learning more and more about the process and hearing other insights, I am losing interest. I have shIfted my sights more onto a small multfamily that could use some work, but not more than I can afford out of my own pocket. Thanks again.

Hi All,

I am considering starting with an FHA 203k and house-hacking for my first rental investment property. My reason for this would be to minimize the competition around me for my search for multifamily properties.

May I get a general idea of what you guys/girls think of this? Especially as it compares to finding a move-in ready 2-4plex that will cash flow.

And maybe you can share the approximate time frame it took to complete your projects before tenants were able to move in.

Thanks,

Ralph

@Marc Sinnott Best of luck with your project. I would like to keep up with it via this thread so thank you for your interest in sharing. I am in the local area and always looking to learn more about the markets outside of LA. Wishing you all the best man. - Ralph

Hi @Account Closed , that sounds encouraging. I definitely want to own in California and be able to visit my property on a regular basis. Be in touch with you soon!

I’ll be sure to do that. Thanks CJ Berina By the way, I plan to house hack for a year, somewhere in the greater Los Angeles area. Care to share what cities you have been considering outside of LA? I have been looking into Corona, Bakersfield and some small suburbs near the 57,60,10 freeways

Hi Ali Boone and all. May I kindly request that you reach out to Jeff Greenberg for the details of the Santa Monica meetups (I am having trouble with some @ mentions on my mobile phone). I thought I found it on meetup.com but it’s the wrong one. Thanks
