I know this is a old thread but I'm in same dilemma. I'm thinking about starting my own brokerage as well. I would like to know more about that too.

I passed my broker exam recently and debating should I leave my current broker and do my own. What other advantage will I have beside commission? I'm thinking liability will be a huge thing if I be my own. Most likely I will be by myself even though other agents have approached me if they can go under me later.

Should I start LLC? Pros and Cons?

I don't know where to start.

Please help.
