If you're retiring then I presume you want a safe and secure investment to protect the wealth you've built while continuing to get a return. You should absolutely invest it. The dollar is losing value fast. But I wouldn't go for more risky investments and would make sure to diversify too. I think your financial advisor is on the right track (assuming I'm correct about your investment goals, of course).

@Andrew Syrios - Great to see you on here. I actually attended your due diligence class at the last BP Con in New Orleans. You had some amazing content. Do you make content on other social media platforms? I'd definitely like to check it out.

Hey Andrew, thank you for the kind words and I'm glad you found the presentation helpful. I write here at BP.

OK, inflation in general, the supply crisis, low interest rates and a growing population also have something to do with it. But I think this chart, more or less, sums up what's going on:

In my opinion it's overkill given that 3 months ago I just did the inspections as part of the closing process.  But if that's what it takes to be compliant then so be it.

I appreciate the input.

I agree. It's busy bodies trying to justify their jobs. But fortunately they haven't been too arduous with us
