I tried both Buildium and Rentec Direct about a year ago and ended up going with Rentec Direct. Buildium has a lot of appeal but Rentec's accounting software seemed much easier to use. If you're just starting out, save the money and go with Rentec. Buildium might make sense once you're managing 50+ properties.

Had a great time meeting everyone last night at White Lion! Sorry to anyone who missed the venue change. I figured we could go ahead and schedule another meetup for the end of September. I reserved a room at McNellie's South that holds 20-30 people. Hopefully everyone who was there last night can make it again! Looking forward to meeting some new people as well!

A few quick things to mention:

1. If you're just starting out with real estate investing, don't be afraid to come to these meetups. They're the best way to learn who's actually doing deals in the area and how they're getting done. The atmosphere is super casual and very low pressure. Just show up and have a good time.

2. The private room at McNellie's costs $75. I'm not charging a fee to come to the meetup but if everyone could pitch in a few bucks at the end of the night that would be great.

3. Since this meeting is 4 weeks down the road it gives everyone plenty of time to have some business cards made. Don't be afraid to start promoting yourself as an investor! 

One last reminder about the Tulsa Meetup tonight at 6pm. We'll be meeting at White Lion and not at McNellie's. I posted the address to White Lion above in this thread. See everyone tonight.

So I called McNellie's today to reserve an area for us to meet. I guess Wednesday nights are a busy night (burger night) and they don't take reservations. They also said there'd be a long wait for a party of 15+.

I went ahead and reserved us a room at The White Lion Pub. It's in the same area as McNellie's on 71st & Yale. Same day and time, next Wednesday, August 31st at 6pm.
