@Luke Carl

My bnb calendar is showing in vrbo, but vrbo calendar does not show up in porter, we are having to go in and manually block dates after they are booked. Have sent several help requests to support to no avail. I’ll keep trying.

Hey guys, brand new citizen on short term island. I’m having trouble syncing vrbo/porter calendar. I did the iCal both ways and match my listings, but it will still allow a double booking from vrbo side. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks to the Carl’s, mix’s, and Parker B for allowing me this opportunity!!

Which service are you using? I’ve been using your porter for about a week. And so far it’s not super intuitive.

@Dustin Turner I think good deals are relative to the person looking for them. I just went under contract yesterday in the area, and my projections were looking very satisfying from my perspective. Of course you never know if you’ve made money until you sell. I like value adds, but seeing as I’m sitting in Missouri, I went for a turn key, and I can’t be more pumped. Plan is to buy one a year like Julie. If this one performs the way I think it will, and I buy one more next year, I can quit my job. Good luck brother.

@Danny Greene

Why don’t you give us a little context? The one liners aren’t telling much of a story.

@Demarcus Crump at one point you could search for them on here under files, they must have made that for paying members only, as I no longer have access. You can call your local title company and get one, or get one from a closing attorney.

@Isaac El dude, these deals are actually kind of crazy. I pulled a list of out of state owners in my town with high equity. So, actually called his dad about a houses in my town. Then his son kept calling me, saying he had some houses in a small town unfamiliar to me like an hour away in a different state. I wrote the addresses down, and all this virus crap happened. I never called him back, then he actually called me back again. So I thought “ok, I had better get on the stick here”. Drove over there, and looked at 5 houses. Put two of them under contract. I was pretty nervous the whole time, but made my intentions clear. I had the ability to close on them, but didn’t want to based on being in a unfamiliar area.

@Isaac El I’m doing some of this currently. You have to hit them from multiple angles that way they know you are legit. So you can call them, and either they are going to tell you no, or just plain not answer. So then you could move on to a text, then a letter, make sure the letter has your website on it, because if they are interested, they are going to look up your web page, and also make sure you have a Facebook page for your business. If they answer, and say not interested, then ask “May I check back in 3 months from now? When they say sure, call them back sooner, like in a month or so. If they start telling you to stick it where the sun don’t shine, you may mark them down as hostile. Keep in mind, I’m also doing this too, but I am not an expert. I’m just getting fired up, but I am closing on my first two wholesale deals on Thursday.
