@Jennifer Drew Welcome to BP! It's wonderful to hear about your niche market and the deaf community. When I moved to DC, I hired a moving company whose CEO and employees are deaf and I had a great experience. Even though I didn't know sign language, we were able to communicate with body language easily after an hour.
Rock on!

@Sina S. Welcome! I've seen others have hand-written the message (probably copied after the 1st) with a business card - not sure if that's more effective or not.

@Michael Corbin Are you planning on a complete demolition and rebuild? Or a full renovation? I'd look at sold prices in the area from Zillow, Redfin and etc to get a quick snapshot.

@Aj Bowman You can look to make a bigger deck (if possible) or knock down some walls to create more room. With good pictures and staging, you can make 880 sq ft feel bigger.

@Bryan Sowieja We all have biases but that doesn't mean you should spell them out in the application. However you're one step closer to qualify for a Hooters franchise.

There are always ways to get MLS listings and other resources without obtaining a license. However I find the benefits of having a salesperson license outweighs the cons, with cons mostly with the license fees and continuing education. I'd recommend (like Billy and Josh) to finish the course, go with a low/no cost brokerage for a little while and see for yourself if it's useful.

@LaShawn Payton Welcome to BP! I'm also learning a lot from BP podcasts and forums. Whatever information you get, try to validate it with real life experience!

@David V. You should start with the original lease to see about what the rules are for subleasing. If it mentions consent is required by landlord for subleases/subtenants, there's your answer.

I think the same people who are willing to take trains (or drive a long commute) will be the same ones treating self driving cars as another mode of transportation. Others will still find ways to live closer to metropolitan areas.
