I vote for finishing high school, but learning as much as you possibly can about real estate at the same time. Find a mentor in the industry, if possible. If I had everything to do over though, I wouldn’t have gone to college. You’re so young, you have so much time to build your life. Your mindset will give you a huge advantage. I didn’t start thinking like that until after college. You’ll surprise yourself how far you can get in just 5 years.  Make sure you get all of the crazy out of your system before you start investing. We all make dumb mistakes when we are young, just try not to make a crippling financial one. Start small and learn as you go.

Thanks Nettles, that will get a good list to start with for sure.

And Dylan, I would love to hear more about your meetup. I have been thinking about this option, but don’t know enough how to structure it.

Hi! I know this thread is old and you may not need a property manager. I recently started an Ardmore, Ok property management company. I’m happy to send you info if you’d like. I’m local, own investment properties, and a real estate brokerage. Message me if you’d like the info.

Hi all! I’ve recently discovered BP and have been binge listening to Podcasts starting at Episode 1. I calculated that it’ll take me a full year to listen to all of them. My goal is to try to be a guest after I finish. I live in rural Oklahoma, and I’d like to speak about investing in a small town. I’m a former teacher, turned realtor. I’ve flipped, rented, developed, bought a brokerage, started a property management company.

BP podcasts listened to date: 39

Hi guys (and gals)! I started a property management company recently and am looking for a website or resource where I can locate people that own multiple properties. My goal is to get a list to mail-to, although if there’s a way to get phone numbers, that would be better.

I have access to the MLS and County Assessor page. The title company in our area says they cannot provide any lists for any criteria. I live in a rural town in Oklahoma, if that helps.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
