@Brian G. Thanks!

@Nicholas Aiola I am fortunate enough to have my 401K with my full time job so I don't think I am qualified for SDIRA or self-employed 401K?

I  have questions about FundRise:

1) On your 1099-DIV, is it listed as ordinary or qualified dividends?

2) Have anyone attempted to close out/withdraw the funds?  I think there's different withdrawal period with different penalties and curious if anyone has any insight?

3) What's the risk of losing your investment capital?

I have been lending funds to a close friend of mine for a rate of 8%.  I got a 1099-INT from him to file my tax, which I paid a big portion out of 8% (effectively around 6% after paying the gov).  Is there a better way to do this?

@Paul Schu I think if it shows up as ordinary dividends (vs qualified dividend), then it would be tax at tour tax bracket

I also hear more and more cities are restricting STR. Any thoughts?
