@Ryan Cronauer Mostly I need to know if they would allow it. The deal is still a couple years away, So I haven't looked into it too much. 

If you haven’t already I would suggest calling St. Petersburg Zoning/Code/Building departments, although it may take a couple hours to get an answer they occasionally are helpful. 

I have a similar question for them about converting a massive garage to an ADU. If I get some answers I'll let you know.

Tampa checking in, unless you are investing for appreciation, Tampa is going to be a hard market to net alot of cashflow on a turnkey property. I think your best bet may be a new build in our area and then renting it out, that way you could at least minimize your cap ex. Let me know if you have any questions!

I have had this same problem with truckers for instance, I will reach out to some contacts and see if they can assist.
