Hey Jason!

I would recommend the GLA (Genesee County Landlord Association). I went for the first time a couple weeks ago as I am trying to find a bunch of good groups to join. I am about to join the GLA because of the education materials you get for signing up and the members I have met there are awesome!

Hope to see you there next month!

Thanks everyone! I passed my exam yesterday and am looking forward to working with Keller Williams and taking one more step toward getting my first property.

Mark Podolsky my 3 favorite books were "Why We Want You To Be Rich" by Trump & Kiyosaki. This was my first one and I found it in a bargain bin and it just blew my mind open about two years ago. I had thought all these things inherently but didn't know what they meant. I finally had something on paper in front of me that confirmed all my feelings about money and wealth. Then probably about 50% of every Kiyosaki book is awesome and have got a lot out of those after you cut through his stories. I would combine that all as one book. And the third book is probably "Building Wealth One House At A Time" by John Schaub

Richard Harris love meeting new people also! Great to connect!

Aaron Yates definitely want to connect! I have been to a number of REIA meetings in the last month. Ill be at the Oakland County meeting and MREI in Troy again in a couple weeks also! Looking forward to meeting you!

Joe Delia I bet, I know Rochester fairly well, too! I am looking to invest in the northern metro-detroit areas - Royal Oak, Warren, Troy, Rochester, and further north like Flint. I have been in contact with Mark Yuschak a little bit and am looking forward to learning more about that market. I am hoping to get an owner-occ in the Flint region in the next 4-6 months. I am interested in multifamily properties.

Tom A. Yes! I have been to a handful of meetings this past month and look forward to hitting about 5 different meetings this month also! I grew about 20 minutes north of Lakeland and started my hockey career there and played for the Lakeland Hawks for a couple years til I was 9 then went to Little Caesars from there on! Ya the MSU-UM battles are always epic. It is a shame that the CCHA is no more but I think it will be better for exposure now on the plus side! Let me know if you have any hockey questions, its a challenging process just like real estate!

I definitely look forward to talking and working with you all, thank you! :)

Hello BP community! I am a new member for about a week but have been studying for my real estate exam I am taking this week. My plan is to work for earned income which I will then turn in to passive income through buying and holding multi-family properties.

Looking to get my first house end of this year/early next year, an owner-occ triplex or fourplex. Read about 50 books on real estate the last year and a half but couldn't do a ton because of my hockey career and not knowing anyone who has knowledge in RE investing around me. But, now its time to jump and take a different path.

Really looking forward to meeting all of you and meeting so many like-minded individuals!
